Homegrown pastry chef Daniel Tay continues to serve up nostalgic treats with a modern twist at Old Seng Choong, now dishing out a refreshed slate of festive goodies for the Chinese New Year season.
These range from returning favourites like pineapple tarts, made zestier with auspicious mandarin orange, to newly introduced egg rolls (better known as love letters) and succulent bak kwa given new life with fragrant applewood.
All these are available not just in horse-themed packaging, but also aptly named horse-inspired hampers worthy of the season — think Fortune Stallion and Galloping Prosperity.
